Resource Description:
Denny's is a one-story Googie style restaurant located on a corner lot. The building is rectangular in plan, with glass, stucco and stone used as the principle building materials. The design is dominated by a pitched roof, the crest of which is off-set to the rear of the building. A sign tower at the southwest corner of the building protrudes through and above the overhanging eave. The main entrance is also positioned at the wouthwest corner. It consists of plate glass windows with aluminum frames. A stone wall set parallel with the crest of the roof line extends into the interior space to divide the dining and kitchen areas. The buildinga ppears to be in good condition, but has been remodeled to create the atmostphere of a 1950s diner. The original doors have been replaced with solid double doors with half circular lights. Curved walls with a metallic finish have been installed at the edges of the plate glass windows.
