The Puelicher House is a good intact example of Pasadena Modernism as it was practiced during the Mid-twentieth century, and retains a high degree of integrity from the period of
significance. The house was designed by locally significant architect Boyd Georgi and exhibits the ingenuity of post-WWII USC-schooled architects in adapting to difficult sites such as the subject site in which the house floats over a deep canyon. Therefore, the Puelicher House meets the criteria for listing as a City of Pasadena Landmark under Criterion 3: It embodies the distinctive characteristics of a locally significant architectural style, property type, architect and period.
