Built in 1886 at Orange Grove and Colorado Court, this Folk Victorian house was moved to its present location in 1901. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
The new dwelling cost about $2800. It was built on Orange Grove Ave at the corner of Colorado Ct. (Colorado Court is a new through fare opened by Mrs. Hood from Orange Grove Ave. to the Arroyo.) On the north corner of this court with Orange Grove Ave., the building is situated. It is about 26 x 30 in size, 2 stories high besides the attic (large enough for 2 rooms) verandah, hall with stairs to the second story, parlor, sitting room, dining room kitchen - pantry, bathroom and closets. Also back stairs to second story, which is divided into 5 chambers, all commanding a fine view. A good cellar beneath, it is plumbed for hot and cold water.
