The district is located in the northwest area of the City of Pasadena, west of the Arroyo Seco and near the northern city limit and the Art Center College of Design's Hillside Campus. The setting is slightly sloping with curving streets and cul-de-sac’s. All houses in the district are one-story, with one having a garage in a second story below the main house. Architectural styles are all Modern Ranch, including several that exhibit Asiatic influence, as well as one Mid-Century Modern (Post-and-Beam) style house.
